I am honored and feel very privileged to be the Principal of Momence Early Childhood Center for the eleventh year. Beginning school is such an exciting time for you and your child. I am delighted to serve you and your child at Momence Early Childhood Center to begin your child’s journey through his/her academic experience. Our commitment at Momence Early Childhood Center is to support children’s growth and development in a positive learning environment through a variety of services.

The early childhood program provides each child with a high quality preschool experience and school readiness. For many children, preschool is their first school experience. We at Momence Early Childhood Center want to make preschool a positive experience ensuring that coming to school is enjoyable, as well as beneficial. 

For the 2022-2023 school year, we will focus on student learning. Nurturing, responsive, and effective interactions and engaging environments are the foundation for high quality learning in early childhood settings such as:

• A well-organized and managed learning environment
• Social and emotional support
• Intentional teaching practices, interactions, and materials that stimulate children's thinking, development, and skills

Just as the children are encouraged to collaborate, we encourage parents to collaborate with us as well. Parents are always welcome and we look forward to seeing family and friends at all of our special events. It is the partnership and on-going communication between the parents and teachers which builds the foundation for a successful school experience. Our Early Childhood Programs conduct quarterly Parent Advisory Committee meetings. We hope you will become involved in attending these meetings because your input and ideas matter!

I encourage you to learn all you can about our school. Momence Early Childhood Center will ensure that our students will be prepared for kindergarten. Here at Momence Early Childhood Center, we create an environment where the strengths, hopes, and passions of families are valued and reinforced!
