My name is Erica Ohlendorf (most of the students call me Ms. O) and I am a school social worker for the Momence school district. This will be my 10th year as a school social worker and my 6th year at the Momence school district. My first four years as a school social worker, I worked at Camelot Therapeutic Day School in Bourbonnais, IL. I also have past experience working as a teacher's aide in a self-contained special education classroom and working at a state psychiatric hospital. A little about myself personally is that I grew up in Beecher, IL and also attended K-12 school there. I enjoy living and working in the small community atmosphere! I also love to travel and my favorite places I have visited were Switzerland and New Zealand. I love animals and have cats and dogs. One of my dogs is a golden retriever and he is a trained therapy dog. I also enjoy sewing, listening to music/going to concerts, and spending time with my friends and family. Fall is my favorite season and I love cold weather! I received my Bachelor’s degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago. I majored in psychology and minored in sociology. I received my Master’s degree from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am very excited for the 2020-2021 school year and to get to work with your child! I know this year may come with some challenges, but I am hopeful we will have a great school year! |
